National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India (QCI), set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organizations.
NABH is an institutional member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQUA). ISQUA is an international apex body which grants approval to Accreditation Bodies in the area of healthcare as mark of equivalence of accreditation program of member countries. As NABH standards have been approved by ISQUA, NABH accreditation of India is equivalent to some of the world’s leading hospital accreditations like JCI, Japan Council for Quality Healthcare (JCQC), National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) etc.
